Pick a panel and play

Playing in seconds matters more than anything else on screen. Open the app, tap a panel, and you are in. There is no account to make and nothing to download first.

  1. Pick a puzzle

Every puzzle is a panel on the front page. Tap one and choose Easy, Medium or Hard.

  2. The board is dealt

Your phone generates a new board on the spot and checks that it can be solved. There is no level list to run out of.

  3. Leave and come back

Half a puzzle in the waiting room, the rest on the train. It is waiting exactly where you left it.

The puzzles

Each one comes with a short walkthrough that teaches it on a real board, a daily board that is the same on every phone, and a hint when you want one.

  • Sudoku

Fill the grid so no digit repeats in any line or box.

  • Nonogram

Fill the grid so every line matches its clues.

  • Minesweeper

Open every safe cell and leave the mines alone.

  • 2048

Slide and merge tiles until the target tile appears.

  • Water Sort

Pour until every tube holds a single color.

  • Kakuro

Fill each run with digits that add up to its clue.

  • Slitherlink

Draw one loop so each number counts its own edges.

  • Hashi

Bridge the islands so each has its number and all connect.

  • Nurikabe

Shade the sea so each island matches its number.

  • Futoshiki

Place each digit once per line and obey the signs.

  • Binairo

Fill the grid with suns and moons, no three in a row.

  • Hitori

Shade the repeats until each number stands alone.

  • Pipes

Join each pair of dots and fill every cell.

  • Lights Out

Press lamps until the whole board goes dark.

  • Sliding Puzzle

Slide the tiles back into numbered order.

  • Ring Towers

Stack every ring on the goal peg, smallest on top.

  • Mastermind

Crack the hidden code in as few guesses as you can.

  • Word Ladder

Change one letter at a time to reach the target word.

What it looks like

  • The Water Sort page: a Learn to Play row, today's daily board, and Easy, Medium and Hard panels each with a play button.
Every puzzle has its own page: the daily, the walkthrough, and a fresh board on each difficulty.
  • A Water Sort board: nine tubes of colored, symbol-marked liquid inside a heavy black comic panel.
Water Sort. Every color carries its own symbol.
  • A Sudoku board with a digit keypad, Notes, Erase and Hint buttons below it.
Sudoku, with notes and three hints per board.
  • A Kakuro board in dark mode: yellow clue cells on a midnight blue grid.
Dark mode is the night edition, for bed with the lights off.

Questions

Is Puzzle Panels free?
Yes. Puzzle Panels is free to download and every puzzle is playable. An occasional full-screen ad can appear after a finished puzzle, never before or during one. An optional one-time No Ads purchase removes them; there is no subscription.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Every board is generated on your phone, so the app plays fully offline. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
Do the puzzles run out?
No. There is no fixed level list. Each time you press Play on Easy, Medium or Hard the app deals a new board and checks that it can be solved before you see it.
What is the daily puzzle?
Each puzzle has one daily board that is the same on every phone, with its own streak. The front page features a different puzzle’s daily each day.
I cannot tell some of the colors apart. Can I still play?
Yes. Every colored piece carries its own symbol, so color is never the only cue.
