How to play Deckhand’s card games
Deckhand has seven card games: five for a table of friends and two solitaire games for playing alone. Each guide below covers the rules with a real deck first, then how the game runs in the app.
-
War
· 2 players
Flip the top card of your pile and the higher card takes both, until one player holds the whole deck.
-
Bull
· 3 to 10 players
Play cards face down and claim they match the current rank, then call bull when you think someone is lying.
-
Ride the Bus
· 2 to 8 players (solo mode: 1)
Guess red or black, higher or lower, inside or outside, and suit, then hand out points before someone rides the bus.
-
Crazy Eights
· 2 to 8 players
Match the top card by rank or suit, play an 8 to change the suit, and be the first to empty your hand.
-
Go Fish
· 2 to 6 players
Ask other players for a rank, go fish when they have none, and collect the most books of four.
-
Tri Peaks
· 1 player
A solitaire game: clear three peaks of cards by playing open cards one rank above or below the pile.
-
Aces Up
· 1 player
A solitaire game: discard lower cards of the same suit across four piles until only the aces remain.
Play them in Deckhand
Deckhand is free on the App Store and Google Play. One phone starts a table and everyone else joins with the code, so nobody needs a physical deck.
